The hotel was great! Good food, great location & amazing staff. We had a sea view room on the 1st floor - it was clean, very spacious, decent size balcony & lovely huge bed. Plenty of sunbeds on the sandy beach & free watersports. A nice beach bar/Italian restaurant was only 7 minutes walk along the beach. Free water taxi to the 'sister' hotels but Waves was definitely the better of the 3 with the best beach, food & staff! We had 3 complimentary spa treatments during our 6 night stay - we weren't aware of this when we booked so this was a bonus (but it could have been because the adults only section was closed).

Half of the hotel was closed due to renovations, but we were not informed of this prior to our stay. It was advertised as adult only, however the adult only area was the part that was closed for renovation & the best swimming pool was in the closed area.

The staff made this stay extremely enjoyable, so kind, friendly and SO attentive. They learn to know your names off by heart, and go out of their way to make sure they’ve done enough for you. The beach was lovely, and the massages and other treatments we had booked were the best I’ve ever had!

Unfortunately we had food poisoning and so did a numerous amounts of other guests… the staff cared for us however claimed that nobody else had reported food poisoning. It ruined the end of our trip- and we were bed bound for two days. There’s not much round the hotel- and taxis are very expensive.

Friendly and efficient service from restaurant and front desk staff. Good quality food and drink, housekeeping decorated the bedroom for Valentines day which was a nice touch.

Booked last minute to attend a funeral. Room 510 is advertised as having a balcony and being over the spa. What it doesn't say is that the only view from the balcony is of the roof of the foyer and restaurant. It didn't bother us as we were out for 2 of the 3 days we stayed but wouldn't have been happy otherwise. Would think that it should be a courtesy room.

The lay out of the hotel is beautiful with the view of the sea dominating . Mostly the food was of high standard and the spa treatments were amazing. We had an ocean view room which was incredible.

At times the hotel felt over crowded meaning limited sun beds and delays at reception. My expectation was for a very high standard of service given the price but that was , at times , a little hit and miss . I think that Barbados is an extremely expensive Island so much of the price is accounted for with food and drink rather than high end service .

The staff was fantastic - super friendly and genuine! The food was good (not excellent or high-end, but tasty and good quality). Beach, pool, and landscaping were nice. Access to water sports was free, and fun. Overall, very good experience.

Our room was a bit dated. The room and room amenities felt 3 star (maybe 3.5 star), but definitely not 4 or 5 star. The rest of the property, however, was very nice (solid 4 star).

I did not know we would be across the street when booking. They have 2 sructures. The main building and the one across the street. Had i known i was across the busy street i would not have booked here. It was nice but we wanted to be in the building that i looked at when i booked. I think that when they tell you the room is in the spa pool area, it makes you think it is not facing the beach but still in the same tructure you are looking at when booking. I feel that that is not honest. I think people should have an informed choice. The staff was so kind and great. That part was famtastic. :)

This hotel is beautiful and the beach is fabulous. It is not near any shops but a BD$£35 taxi fare got us to Holetown and Lime Grove. It was BD$20 to the Cliff Beach Club for lunch. However Waves is all inclusive, which I have never done before, and I was constantly impressed by the staff popping up next to me to offer frozen grapes or an ice cold glass of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. One could be perfectly happy not going out at all. I loved our very private balcony and most of all I loved leaving the balcony door open at night and falling asleep to the sound of the......Waves.

Coming from Eu, we had some difficulties with the queen of the eggs. She was not happy about our need of omelette...Finally she won and we started to eat boiled eggs even if the white part only

Best vacay ever - for the money we felt like we were at a 5 star resort. Everything was done to serve us well - one example- a typical day at the adult only pool we were spoiled by being brought without request cool wet washcloths scented with eucalyptus in the morning while we lounged around pool drinking Spicy bloody Mary’s. Then frozen grapes and watermelon canapés would arrive as a cool snack in early afternoon followed by a scoop of ice cream in late the afternoon. All without asking. We felt very spoiled.

Alcohol is on the cheaper side but wine and beer very good.

Our room was large king on the second floor (209) with a great view of the beach and ocean. It is a small to medium size hotel With a great clear turquoise water Very calm. The food is tasty even though it’s an all Inclusive hotel The selection is limited but every dish Is great with a lot of attention. The stuff is 10+ Really.

Entertainment was to laid back most of the days. The pool is not on the ocean side. No bar at the beach or close.

The staff were very good and a joy to speak to, they went out of their way to help with a smile.

The restaurant was very hot with no Air Con as it is open plan. This detracted from the dining experience as you get very uncomfortable.

From the time we arrived, we were treated very courteous. The entire staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Allowed late checkout and extra lunch. Food was delicious, excursions were awesome, view was spectacular. Look forward to coming back in the near future.

The beach was lovely, the staff was very professional and helpful. The facilities were good and the motorised watersports were also included. We had a Bajan cooking demo run buy the chef which was great

Waves is situated in a fantastic position right on a beautiful sandy beach. All inclusive guests can use the free water taxi to get to sister hotels. At one of these drinks are free and you can book a free lunch too. The staff are amazing at Waves. They are very friendly and do everything they can to give holiday makers a fantastic time. The waiters provide a great service bringing drinks out to the beach and the pool side. They even bring out cold towels, frozen grapes and icecream to help everyone cool off a little. The service in the restaurants is great. Thanks to the lovely Jennifer and Sharon and all the others wine and water is kept topped up and other drinks provided on request. The food is good in the 2 on site restaurants, especially in the Asian restaurant, where it is beautifully presented. If you miss lunch you can get tasty salads and toasties in the cafe. Jacqueline and all the staff on the front desk are kept busy but they are always happy to help. We really enjoyed the live music in the bar every evening.We saw some very talented performers which could make lovely back ground music but really deserved to be listened to. I had a birthday at Waves but we didn't tell the staff. However, they noticed and brought cake and wine to our room. It was such a lovely touch. An unintrusive way to mark the occasion. The inclusive water sports on the beach very good.

Each morning you need to book your evening meal and sometimes choice of time is a bit limited. Personally I would have liked more choice in white wine. It was sauvignon or chardonnay. Our toilet didn't flush too well so maybe some of the bathrooms need some updating although it was a nice big shower and kept beautifully clean by the lovely Pauline and the rest of the team.
